It was a night of magic and bubbles for an Elijah Vue fundraiser at the Mikadow Theater in Manitowoc.
A large group of supporters and search volunteers gathered to watch Rondini perform magic tricks with children and demonstrate that more can be done with bubbles than is humanly imaginable.
The Mikadow has been the place for volunteers to meet before going to search for the missing 3-year-old Elijah.
CEO Kurt Duzeski says that when he saw the post about Elijah, he invited them to the theater, realizing the weather wasn’t good then.
“I said you know my theater is closed that day,” he explained. He continued telling the family they could “Come in. It’s warm, it’s a nice, safe space. Make yourself at home. You don’t have to worry about the weather, and concentrate on what you need to do.”
Since then, volunteers and the family have used the theater as the main post before searching areas around Manitowoc County to try and find Elijah.
Duzeski says, “They are part of the family now.”
The event finished with 47 raffle baskets being given away and the proceeds of the baskets going toward food, water, and resources for the search efforts.
The event was also organized with members of the Déjà vu Bar, which has also hosted volunteers. Elijah has been missing for two months.
