The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is asking residents again not to burn anything this weekend.
The warm temperatures, low humidity, and breezy conditions in the forecast could make it easier for a fire to get out of control fast.
The rain improved some conditions in some areas, but much of the state’s vegetation is still dry.
So far this year, 340 acres have burned in the state after 122 wildfires started, most recently related to debris burning and powerlines.
If a fire is getting out of control, always call 911, and don’t try to suppress it yourself.
The DNR also recommends using equipment that could create sparks in the morning or late in the day when the weather isn’t as warm.
Currently, almost every county is under moderate threat of wildfire because of the rain, but much of the state’s vegetation is still dead and dry.
