Oconto Falls took home team wins in both the boys’ and girls’ side of the Mishicot Track and Field Invite yesterday.
The Panthers’ boys scored 15.5 more points than runner-up Manitowoc Lutheran, while Two Rivers finished 3rd.
They were followed by the host Indians, Roncalli, North Fond Du Lac/Horace Mann, Crandon, and Hilbert. Oconto Falls’ girls were only 8 points better than Two Rivers, with Lutheran coming in 3rd, followed by Roncalli, Mishicot, Hilbert, Crandon, and North Fond du Lac/Horace Mann.
The Panthers claimed the top spot in the boys’ 100—and 200-meter dashes, 110 hurdles, and 4×100 and 4×200 relays, while the girls won the 100—and 200-meter dashes and the 4×100 and 4×800 relays.
Lancer boys earning victories were Gabriel Stuebs in the 400 meter and Jacob Kanzenbach in the 800, along with the 4×400 relay team Noah Dillon, Isaiah Muchka, Ben Harrison, and Jaymen Ott, and the 4×800 relay James Glodowski, Joseph Ungemach, Braden Revak, and Ryder Vogt. The Lancers 4X200 relay team of Maren Dewane, Elizabeth Blauert, Lily Melhorn, and Addison Korte also earned a gold medal, as did the 4×400 relay team of Melhorn, Ava Stuebs, Stevie Brunner, and Korte, and Elizabeth Blauert in the long jump.
Anthony Butler was the only Mishicot athlete to pick up a win, and he did it in two events, the 300 hurdles and the pole vault.
The Roncalli girls had three top finishes, with Libby Schmidt coming in first in the 3200 meter race and Grace Mueller taking home gold in the discus throw and high jump.
Two Rivers had two boys winers in Christian Pules, who one the shot put, and Bergen Scmid in the High Jump. Raider girls to earn wins were Brooklyn Kieselhorst in the 400 meter race, Marenda Lee in the shot put, and triple jumper Mikayla VanWychen.
