Following a federal investigation into smuggling activities, five individuals employed at Waupun Prison have either been terminated or resigned.
Although the Justice Department has not disclosed any charges, the case remains under investigation.
The inquiry was initiated after Governor Evers requested an official probe into the prison.
Of the 11 employees initially placed on leave, only six remain as of this week.
