Big bats and shutdown pitching led to another dominating victory for the Mishicot softball team last night.
In front of a home crowd, the Indians scattered 11 hits en route to a 6-0 win over Sevastopol. Katelyn Callahan and Kaelin Adair each picked up three hits, with Adair blasting a home run and a double to account for 2 of Mishicot’s runs.
Two more were batted in by Cora Stodola in her lone hit of the night.
On the mound, Kiran Sanford followed up Stodola’s no-hitter earlier this week with one of her own.
She went all 7 innings, allowing only 4 walks while striking out 15 batters.
The Indians improve to a perfect 9-0 to start the season and are scheduled to be in Manitowoc today for the EWC Softball Extravaganza at Citizen Park.
