This week is National Dispatch Appreciation Week. Police officers, Sheriff’s Deputies, EMS, and other first responders tend to get the lion’s share of the praise when it comes to emergency response, but the people who take the call and get people the help they need are often forgotten.
Local law enforcement entities are praising their respective dispatchers.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook, “Thank You for your continued service and dedication to all public servants in Manitowoc County and the intricate role you play in the lives of the community members that you interact with daily.”
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office had similar words of adoration, saying, “Their dedication is immeasurable, and their commitment is unwavering.”
