Nicolae Miu has been found guilty in the case involving the stabbing incident at Apple River.
The jury’s decision holds Miu accountable for the stabbing of five individuals, resulting in the death of one, during a tubing outing on the river in 2022.
Miu was convicted on a charge of reckless homicide, a less severe charge compared to first-degree homicide.
Despite his claim of self-defense, stating that he was attacked first by a group of teenagers, the jury ruled against him.
Miu now faces a potential sentence of 60 years in prison.
