There will be a statewide tornado drill today.
That means you will hear a message from the NOAA weather radio test at 1:45 pm and 6:45 pm.
Local municipalities around Manitowoc County will test tornado sirens.
However, any inclement weather could still move the drill to tomorrow.
Wisconsin Emergency Management recognizes this week as Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week.
The state averages 23 tornados annually, with 21 reported in 2023.
There will be no live code tests because WEM no longer requires them and eliminated them in 2020.
