An election recount is set to take place in Sheboygan.
WHBL reports that in last week’s spring election, incumbent Joseph Heidemann retained his Sheboygan Aldermanic District 10 seat by a 411 to 407 vote over challenger Marcia Reinthaler, which is well within the threshold to call for a recount.
State law allows a recount when a race of 4,000 votes or fewer is decided by 40 votes or fewer.
Additionally, Reinthaler will not have to pay for the recount, as any race of this size determined by less than ten votes is paid for by the State of Wisconsin.
The recount has been scheduled for Thursday (April 11th) in Room 106 in City Hall.
