It was a phenomenal start to the season for the Roncalli softball team, as they traveled to Door County and took down Gibraltar/Washington Island 13-0.
Gretchen Kapic was near flawless on the day, striking out 11 batters while allowing only two hits, and surrendering no walks in five innings of work.
Coach Adam Wachowski reports that Kaitlynn Kincella drove in five runs on three hits, including a single, double, and a triple.
Also, Madison Lamers drove in a pair, Megan Lamers singled in a run, and Adaline Kobel forced a walk to also bring home a run.
The Jets will try to make it two wins in a row to start the season Thursday when they travel to Chilton.
