A man caught selling methamphetamine in Manitowoc has been sentenced.
Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig tells Seehafer News that Frederick W. Scheuers II was sentenced to nine years and four months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release after being convicted on a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver.
The investigation into Scheuers began in June 2023 by the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit after it was learned that he made frequent trips to the Manitowoc area to distribute meth and cocaine.
A controlled purchase was conducted in the City of Manitowoc, and Scheuers was arrested in July.
He was found to be in possession of half a pound of meth, one ounce of cocaine, and numerous THC and drug paraphernalia-related items.
Sheriff Hartwig said this investigation “exemplifies the continued joint effort between the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the United States Attorney’s Office- Eastern District of Wisconsin for their continued efforts to combat our local drug issues.”
