The students and staff at Manitowoc Lincoln High School were surprised with some guest visitors today (April 9th).
The Green Bay Packers’ Tailgate Tour made a stop at the JFK Fieldhouse, featuring CEO Mark Murphy, current players Elgton Jenkins, Kenny Clark, and Rasheed Walker, and former players Bryan Bulaga, Mike Daniels, and Alex Green.
The main focus of the stop was to promote the importance of education and accepting others, but students were also given the opportunity to ask questions.
Jones spoke about how he overcame the depression of ending his career, while Daniels and Murphy encouraged student-athletes to participate in multiple sports.
Bulaga, who played with the Ships head football coach Evan Smith on the Super Bowl-winning team in 2011, said his favorite play of his career was the kneel-down at the end of the game.
The squad will be making additional stops at schools around the state, and will appear at several big events, such as a fundraising event in Kenosha this evening.
