The gas prices in Eastern Wisconsin are a bit of a mixed bag this week.
According to the AAA Gas Prices website, Manitowoc and Sheboygan Counties, each saw no change over the past week, reporting the same $3.30 per gallon average they did last Tuesday.
Calumet County did see a bit of a change, dipping four cents to $3.35, but the rest of the counties in our area all reported slight to significant increases.
Outagamie County saw a bump of one penny to $3.29, while Brown County motorists are paying six cents more per gallon at the pump with an average of $3.34.
Meanwhile, Kewaunee County’s average is up eight cents to $3.36, and Door County saw a spike of sixteen cents to $3.46, their highest prices since the end of September.
In fact, all seven counties we cover are continuing to creep back up to the highest prices reported in 2023, which came in the third week of August.
At that time, Outagamie County was the least expensive, coming in at $3.54, and Door County was the most expensive at $3.65 per gallon.
Fuel was the least expensive over the past twelve months, in the second week of January, when Outagamie County sat at $2.43, and Manitowoc County reported an average of $2.66 per gallon.
Two weeks later, we began to see the upward trend we are currently riding.
Also this week, the state average is up three cents to $3.39, and the national average is up six cents to $3.59 per gallon.
