JoAnna Ford, a daycare worker from southwestern Wisconsin, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for the death of an infant in 2022.
The sentencing was handed down by a judge in Iowa County yesterday.
Ford had pleaded guilty to neglect charges in February.
Prosecutors alleged that she left a four-month-old infant unattended in her residence while she ran errands.
Tragically, the baby succumbed to brain swelling, with medical professionals concluding that the child had suffered abuse.
