
One of the two vehicles involved in a crash in Brown County over the weekend ended up engulfed in flames.
The Hobart-Lawrence Police Department reports that the crash occurred on Highway 29 near County Highway VV in the Village of Hobart at around 3:00 Saturday morning.
When the first responders arrived on the scene, one of the vehicles was completely engulfed in flames.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation revealed that it was a head-on collision, with both vehicles traveling in the westbound lanes.
The names and other identifying information of the victims are being withheld pending the notification of the families.
Hobart-Lawrence Police was assisted on the scene by the County Sheriff’s Department, Hobart Fire Department, Oneida Police Department, De Pere Fire Department, and the Brown County Communications Center.
