Another day has gone and a large number of people in Eastern and Northeastern Wisconsin are without power.
Wisconsin Public Service reported Thursday afternoon that crews were out trying to fix the sprawling outages that stretched from the Green Bay area up into the tip of the Door County peninsula, up to Boulder Junction and Eagle River.
As of this morning, 19,784 customers were still without power, meaning over 80,000 customers have had their power restored over the past two days, and roughly 25,000 had the lights turned back on in the past 24 hours.
WPS estimates that 97% of all customers will be back up and running by the end of the day today.
Meanwhile, We Energies, which has service areas around Milwaukee, the Wisconsin/Upper Peninsula border, and the Appleton area up to around Oconto Falls, still has 477 customers without power as of this morning.
The local outages stretch from Appleton to Bonduel.
They stated that they “expect remaining impacted customers will have power restored by Friday.”
