The healthcare landscape in Wisconsin faces further upheaval as Marshfield Clinic Health System announces permanent layoffs for employees initially placed on furlough in January.
The clinic, which furloughed three percent of its workforce earlier this year, has determined that those individuals will not be reinstated.
A Marshfield Clinic spokesperson cited the fact that many furloughed employees secured alternative employment, either outside the organization or within its system.
Those unable to find alternative positions will conclude their tenure with the clinic in May.
