Depending on how the weather turns out, there may be a large number of local and area baseball and softball teams in action today.
Starting with the boys, Manitowoc Lincoln is slated to open its season on the road in Kewaunee (Canceled due to weather), while Manitowoc Lutheran opens its 2024 season at Kohler/Sheboygan Christian.
Two Rivers will try to end a 2-game losing streak as they host New Holstein, Valders hosts Sheboygan falls in the Vikings opener, Mishicot starts their season at home against Algoma, and Kiel will try to get their first win of the season as they invade Roncalli for the Jets’ season opener.
Elsewhere, Brillion is in Chilton, Oostburg is at Howards Grove, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah is traveling to Plainfield to take on Tri County, Plymouth is hosting Kewaskum, and Random Lake invades Sheboygan Lutheran.
Also on the docket, Denmark is set to invade Fox Valley Lutheran, Luxemburg Casco is on the road for Oconto Falls, Green Bay NEW Lutheran is hosting Goodman/Pembine, Sturgeon Bay is at Green Bay Preble, the co-op of Green Bay East and West is in Menasha, Appleton East travels to Fond du Lac, Appleton West is at Kimberly, and Southern Door is in Steven’s Point to take on Pecelli.
In softball, Manitowoc Lincoln will host Sheboygan North at Citizen Park, while Manitowoc Lutheran welcomes the 1-1 Two Rivers Raiders to town.
Elsewhere, Roncalli opens their season in Hilbert, Reedsville invades Kiel for the Raiders season opener, Oostburg is at Howards Grove, New Holstein is at Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Plymouth invades Kewaskum, Sheboygan Lutheran hosts Random Lake, and Sheboygan South is home for De Pere.
Elsewhere, Denmark is at Freedom, Luxemburg-Casco is invading Little Chute, Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy is home for Pembine/Goodman, Bay Port hosts Green Bay Southwest, Green Bay Preble is at Notre Dame, West De Pere invades the co-op of Green Bay West/East, Ashwaubenon hosts Pulaski, Appleton West is on the road for Kimberly, and Appleton East is at Fond du Lac.
