Every year, law enforcement entities around the area hold Drug Take Back Days.
This is where people with unwanted prescriptions can turn them in so they can be disposed of in the proper way.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office has announced that on Saturday, April 27th, they will be holding another of these events at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc.
Pills, creams, and liquid prescriptions can all be turned in between 9:00 and noon through the west side main entrance at 2300 Western Avenue.
Pills should be in a quart-sized or smaller Ziploc-style bag, while liquids, creams, powders, and medical inhalers should remain in their original container.
They will not be accepting biohazardous materials, hazardous waste, needles, batteries, electronics, or personal hygiene products.
More details can be found on the Manitowoc County website.
