Spring has sprung, meaning it’s time for Spring cleaning, and that includes Manitowoc’s Evergreen Cemetery.
Dan Koski, the Director of Public Infrastructure, is reminding those who have winter decorations on loved ones’ grave sites to remove them by April 15th.
Any items not removed by that date will be disposed of. He also noted that starting on May 15th, new decorations or flowers may be placed on the gravesites, however perennials or plants which have thorns, thistles, or burs are not allowed.
Also, annual flowers can be planted in baskets, urns, or in the ground in a flowerbed, however, flower urns not planted for three consecutive years, which are not part of a permanent marker, will be removed.
Any questions can be directed to the Evergreen Cemetery Office at 920-686-3570 during normal business hours.
