
An Appleton woman believed to be responsible for her child’s death has pleaded not guilty.
28-year-old Brooke Seal is charged with Neglecting a Child, Resulting in Death in the death of her child, as well as charges of Possessing an Illegal Article and Possession of Narcotic Drugs after she allegedly smuggled a syringe into her jail cell.
Seal was initially arrested after her 2-year-old daughter died and was found to have enough fentanyl in her system to kill an adult.
FOX11 reports that she was living with a known drug dealer at the time, 42-year-old Faheem Jones, who has also been arrested.
He is facing charges of Possession of Fentanyl and THC with Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Firearm as a Convicted Fellon, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and two counts of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
He is due back in court on April 18th, while Seal has a pre-trial conference on May 10th.
