A man accused of stabbing someone in the town of Fond du Lac has been found.
Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office announced last Friday that they were looking for 50-year-old Fermin Teodoro Lopez-Mendoza after he apparently stabbed a woman at a home.
An update from sheriff’s says they worked all day Saturday to try and find Lopez-Mendoza and on Saturday evening, their work paid off.
Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to find him at a house around 6:00 pm.
They also searched the property where Lopez-Mendoza was found.
The car he was driving was found in rural Calumet County and was taken in for evidence.
The woman is in serious but stable condition after she was taken to a hospital.
Fond du Lac County Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt thanked the other departments for their help since an investigation like this uses a lot of resources.
