The Manitowoc Lincoln Track and Field Team started the season with two wins after the girls won the Pam Kjono Invite.
The Ships scored 90 points to earn the team victory, followed by Luxemburg-Casco and Sheboygan Falls. Chilton came in 4th, Two Rivers finished 6th, followed by Manitowoc Lutheran, while Mishicot came in 10th, and Kewaunee was 13th.
Inside the JFK Fieldhouse, Shipbuilder Tessa Campbell was on fire, winning three gold medals.
She earned the top spot in the 55-meter dash, followed by Chilton’s Adeline Bodinger and Jasmine Lor of Two Rivers, who finished 5th. She also won the 200 meter, with her teammate Kaitlyn Jansky coming in 3rd, and the 400 meter, followed by Hannah Miller of Kewaunee and teammate Breanna Janskey.
In the 800 meter race, Two Rivers runners earned the top two spots with Sophia Soukup coming in first and Breanne Kulpa close behind, but in the 1600 meter, Kulpa came out on top.
Manitowoc Lutheran also earned a victory in the 4×200 meter relay with the team of Payton Luebke, Maren Dewane, Elizabeth Blauert, and Lilly Melhorn, while fellow Lancer Addison Korte picked up the win in the shot put.
