Manitowoc Lincoln’s JFK Fieldhouse hosted fifteen different schools last night, all participating in the Earl Hebert Indoor Track and Field Invite.
The host ships claimed the team title with 90.5 points, followed by Appleton East and Kewaunee.
Two Rivers finished 7th, Manitowoc Lutheran came in 9th, and Mishicot was 13th.
The Ships’ 4×400 meter relay consisting of Elijah Cornell, Lucas Gallegos, Logan Oehlke, and Caleb Jatczak took home gold, as did Dillon Meisnest in the 3200 meters, while Elijah Cornell was less than half of a second behind Jeremy Wingo of Kingdom Prep Lutheran in the 200-meter race.
Other local winners were Kewaunee’s Christopher Cullen in the 400 meters, Manitowoc Lutheran’s Jacob Kanzenbach, Two Rivers’ Eli Gallagher in the 1600 meter race, and the 4×200 meter relay team consisting of Thomas Stangel, DJ Echos, Maddix Mueller, Owen Carlson.
Two Rivers dominated the shot put, with Christian Pyles and Chase Matthias taking the top two spots, followed by Braxton Riha of Kewaunee.
His teammate Maddix Mueller showed off his jumping skills as he took home gold in the high and triple jumps.
The girls’ squads will be taking to the track in the JFK at 4:00 p.m.
