The man charged in a fatal hit and run in Fond du Lac County had his bond lowered this week.
NBC26 reports that Jatziel Encarnacion was in court Thursday when Judge Andrew Christenson heard arguments from the defense, who were looking to reduce his bond from $250,000 to $10,000.
Judge Christenson met them in the middle and reduced his bond to $50,000.
Encarnacion is accused of driving a vehicle that struck 19-year-old Taya Grimes after she was thrown from a car involved in a crash.
Encarnacion allegedly dragged her three miles and fled the scene. Encarnacion and the vehicle Taya Grimes was in were said to be leaving a New Year’s Eve party where alcohol was consumed.
He is due back in court on March 29th for a status hearing.
