A former high-ranking official faces sentencing after being found guilty in an election fraud case in Milwaukee.
Kimberly Zapata was convicted on charges of misconduct in office and election fraud after admitting to sending three fraudulent military ballots to Republican state Representative Janel Brandtjen in October 2022.
Zapata, who previously served as deputy director of the Milwaukee Election Commission, could face up to five years in prison.
