Two police officers are currently hospitalized following an attack by nine dogs.
According to a Monona police officer speaking to WKOW-TV (News 27), the incident unfolded as he approached a vehicle occupied by a man and several dogs.
Two of the dogs charged at the officer as he returned to his patrol car.
Upon the arrival of backup, approximately nine dogs aggressively approached, necessitating assistance from additional law enforcement units.
While both injured officers received medical attention at local hospitals, their injuries are expected to be non-life-threatening.
