A home in De Pere caught fire on Tuesday.
According to FOX11, the fire started at around 8:00 a.m. in the 2200 block of Glen Meadows Circle.
Crews with the De Pere Fire Department arrived on the scene to find smoke coming from the rear of the home.
The blaze was quickly extinguished, and an off-duty firefighter rescued a dog from inside the structure.
No one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was said to be hot embers from a recreational fire that was too close to the home.
The estimated cost of the damage was estimated to be about $15,000 worth.
