A demolition permit for a local church has been approved.
The permit for St. Francis of Assisi on Grand Avenue will allow for the demolition of the now-former St. Andrews School so a new building can be built.
Deacon Mark LeGreve told Seehafer News last week that the school building can’t be used or remodeled into an office and a gathering space because of its condition.
According to the demolition permit, the razing could be done by Interstate Sawing and Demolition of West Bend.
The plan for the building’s expansion will happen as soon as designs can be completed and bids can be received.
The parish has also reached a halfway point for a $2.5 million fundraising campaign to help fund the project.
