Holy Family Memorial, Froedtert, and the Medical College of Wisconsin clinic in the Harbor Town Campus has moved back into the main building.
The Occupational Health Clinic was in a separate building down the street from the main building but didn’t have all the health services needed for patients.
So, for the last year and a half, the clinic has been working to move into the Harbor Town Campus beside the Manty Health Clinic.
By moving back, Senior Medical Director Dr. Laura Radke says it now gives the opportunity to:
“They have the pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, lab, and access to specialties,” she described. “It really makes it easier to manage work injuries.”
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held by the Chamber of Manitowoc County for the updated clinic.
Radke says the move was not only good for patients but for employees, too.
“Really nice to have some colleges and the ability to have that collegial conversation,” she said. “Also, from a safety standpoint for the staff, much much nicer to be in this building then all by themselves in a separate location.”
The Occupation Clinic not only offers help for people with work-related injuries but the Manty Health Clinic next door is there to treat city employees and walk-ins with primary care, like if a child gets an ear infection or someone has a very high fever.
The ribbon cutting coincided with tours of the new facility, along with food and drinks served.
