
A residential garage caught fire in Two Rivers Monday evening.
According to a news release from the Two Rivers Fire Department, a call came in reporting the fire in the 900 block of 10th Street just before 4:15 p.m.
Crews arrived to find heavy black smoke billowing through the roof, doors, and chimney of the detached garage.
The fire was deemed under control within 20 minutes, and overhaul operations were conducted.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was said to be a faulty vent pipe above a wood-burning stove in the structure.
In total, the fire caused an estimated $10,000 in damage.
