The Reedsville Panthers advanced to the WIAA Division 5 Sectional Championship after beating Lourdes Academy of Oshkosh 50-37 in a sectional semi-final played at Pulaski High School Thursday night.
It was a slow start for the Panthers as they trailed by 16 at one point in the game, 27 to 11, but were able to shrink that deficit to get it to 9 and make it 31-22 by halftime.
After halftime, the defense stepped up and held the Knights to one field goal on 15 attempts, outscoring them 28-6.
Senior Cam Dvorachek had 19 points and 14 points for a double-double to lead Reedsville, while sophomore guard Ben Prochnow added 14 points.
Lourdes Academy was led by Mitchell Wing with a team-high of 14 points.
Reedsville is now 19-9 and will play Almond-Bancrof (26 and 1) on Saturday (March 9th) at Hortonville High School for a chance to go to the WIAA State Tournament at The Kohl Center in Madison next Friday morning.
