A man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to hitting a woman getting her mail in Door County.
According to WFRV TV, Joshua Van Gann hit a 71-year-old woman in Sevastopol while she was out getting her mail in August 2022.
After he hit the woman, he fled on foot because his car crashed not far from the incident.
Van Gann pleaded guilty to Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle in November and yesterday was sentenced to 21 years in prison followed by 10 years of extended supervision.
