Because of the lack of snowfall this year, some northeastern Wisconsin counties still have some time to apply for emergency funding from the state.
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin announced last month that businesses can apply for a US Small Business Administration Injury Disaster Loan if they were economically affected by the warmer-than-normal winter.
Applications were due by next month but have now been extended into July. Some area counties include Sheboygan, Calumet, Brown, Outagamie, Door, Fond du Lac, and Winnebago.
Sen. Baldwin says, “This year’s lack of snowfall has been a major blow to many of our Wisconsin businesses. I’m working alongside Gov. Evers to ensure that impacted businesses can get the federal support they need to keep their doors after this challenging winter.”
The last day counties can apply is officially July 31st.
