The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office and several other local and area law enforcement agencies were involved in a chase over the weekend.
According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, it all started just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday on State Highway 32 at the intersection with County Road FF in the Town of Herman.
A deputy had pulled a vehicle over, but the vehicle fled the scene during the stop.
The driver pulled over again in the area of County Road M and County Line Road, but only to allow the 25-year-old passenger out to discharge several rounds at the officers before fleeing on foot.
The driver, later identified as 28-year-old Mario Rezall Dajaun Doyle Jr., also fled from the scene and has yet to be located.
Drone teams from Sheboygan and Manitowoc Counties converged on the area to help search for the passenger, who was located with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
