Residents of Plymouth are being asked their opinions and concerns regarding a proposed high-voltage transmission project.
According to a report by WHBL, American Transmission Company, which has offices in De Pere and Waukesha, is looking to work with Plymouth Utilities to build a new substation that would help distribute power through the new lines of cable in the Towns of Lyndon and Mitchell.
According to the project information page on the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin website, the proposed route of the lines would run between Onion River and West County Road A along County Road V.
An alternate route would run from that intersection north on A to Kettle View Road, and would run east to Dooley Road before running north and east to where Winooski Road intersects with the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Pacific Railroad.
The project is anticipated to begin in August of next year, but the public is encouraged to comment between now and March 15th.
