As the search for Elijah Vue enters its second week, law enforcement entities from around the state and the country have come in to try to find the missing 3-year-old.
During a news conference Tuesday night in Two Rivers’ City Hall, no new information was given on the investigation.
However, the FBI announced the addition of a $15,000 reward for any information that leads to the return of Elijah or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in his disappearance, on top of the $1,000 award put forth by Crime Stoppers.
We were able to speak with Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig, who explained that his team has pulled out all the stops to help in what he called “probably the largest search in our County’s history.”
“We’ve had staff going out to a landfill out in Hilbert to help, our patrol officers are helping, our boat team has been out, our drone team has been out searching,” he explained. “It’s so large that we’re tapped out. We had to get outside help. Bless their hearts, Wisconsin Sheriffs have really stepped up.”
At the news conference, he, much like the family of Elijah, pleaded for anyone who knows anything to report it.
“Somebody out there knows something,” he said bluntly. “Somebody needs to step forward and provide us with that golden tip and that information that is going to help us find him.”
Again, anyone with information regarding Elijah’s disappearance is asked to call the state tips line at 844-267-6648 or by using the P3 Tips app.
