The lawsuit against the City of Green Bay related to audio recording devices in City Hall will continue.
According to WBAY TV, Federal Judge William Griesbach has denied a motion filed by the City to dismiss the lawsuit filed after it was learned that Mayor Eric Genrich installed audio recording devices in City Hall without announcing it.
The ruling specifically noted that the City would be held liable “if the installation of the audio devices was found to be a result of a city policy or custom that led to constitutional violations.”
The case is slated to go to trial in May with the Wisconsin State Senate, Senator André Jacque, and Anthony Theisen as the plaintiffs.
