An Appleton man has pleaded not guilty in a fatal crash case from 2022.
According to FOX11, 55-year-old Jeffrey Wolfe is facing a charge of Homicide by Negligent Operation of a Vehicle after he allegedly caused a crash on I-41 in November 2022.
Wolfe was driving south with his wife in the front passenger seat at around 4:15 p.m. when he turned to his wife to answer a question.
As he did, he allegedly slammed into the rear of a vehicle without breaking.
He was said to be traveling at speeds of around 70 miles per hour, causing the death of a woman in the other vehicle.
Investigators did not file charges against Wolfe until November of 2023.
Wolfe is due back in court on May 7th for a status conference.
