It was the perfect end to a great season.
The Manitowoc United Hockey team traveled to Madison over the weekend for a two-day doubleheader and came home victorious in both.
In game one Saturday night, Aiden Thompson opened up the scoring for United as they took down the Madison Area U18 squad 4-3.
Captain Benson Dickrell also netted a goal, while Miles De Kok would add a pair of goals in the win.
Then, Sunday morning, it was all United the entire game, as they pulled out a 6-3 win in their season finale.
Dickrell opened up the scoring early in the first period, while De Kok and Aragon Jack added a pair, and Reed Bartz netted the sixth.
Goalie Dan Karlin was looking for his first shutout of the year, but it was spoiled with about eight and a half minutes left.
Karlin had a total of 32 saves over the weekend as the 2023/24 season comes to a close.
