A roadway north of Manitowoc has been closed down by the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office.
Seehafer News spoke with a sheriff’s deputy parked on Goodwin Road at the intersection with Johnston Drive at 10:30 this morning (February 25th).
The deputy and Sheriff’s Department’s shift commander could not release any information. The roadway is currently closed between Johnston Drive and North 8th Street.
Seehafer News was on the scene for around 10 minutes, and additional marked squad cars and unmarked vehicles were allowed access to the area.
While it is unclear if this has anything to do with the disappearance of three-year-old Elijah Vue, there is a large wooded area that Goodwin Road runs by.
This is the second such closure today, as deputies were in Shoto, where the bridge on Manitou Drive was closed off.
The bridge was reopened shortly after, but no information was released as to why the deputies were there.
We will update you with more information as it becomes available.
