It was a battle of two 15-win boys basketball teams last night in Oostburg as the Dutchman hosted Reedsville.
The home school ended up claiming a 60-49 victory.
The Dutchman held a 29-22 lead at the break, and the Panthers simply couldn’t catch up in the second half and ended their regular season with an 11-point loss.
Reedsville was led in scoring by Jack Schwahn, who came off the bench to score 11 points, while Ben Prochnow added 10.
A total of nine Panthers scored at least one basket as they fell to 15-9 and entered the postseason on a two-game skid.
Reedsville will begin their postseason play as the #1 seed in their bracket and will host #16 Valley Christian of Oshkosh.
Leading the Dutchmen on the score sheet was Jayden Bruggink who netted 17 points, however his teammates Cade Dirkse and Jamison Zavatchin each added 16.
They will be taking on the Catholic Memorial in the opening round of the postseason.
