Wisconsin legislators have endorsed a new alert system to locate missing children.
Named the Prince Alert, the initiative honors the memory of Prince McCree, a five-year-old from Milwaukee who died last year.
Notably, Milwaukee Police refrained from issuing an Amber Alert during Prince’s disappearance due to specific criteria not being met.
The Prince Alert will now enable the dissemination of information to communities even without suspect details.
Prince’s family hopes this new measure will enhance efforts to locate missing children before harm befalls them.
