The latest home sale numbers are in, and the fall continues in Manitowoc County.
According to the Wisconsin Realtors Association, a total of 53 homes were sold in Manitowoc County through the month of January, which is 25 fewer than in December.
This marks the 3rd straight month of falling sales totals. However, that figure is three more than in January of 2023.
Part of the reason for the dip in sales may be the price of an average home. In Manitowoc County, the average home sold for $189,900 last month, which is $5,500 more than in December.
That is also $35,900 more than the average home price in January of 2023. The state sales numbers were also down significantly.
Last month, 3,436 homes were sold, which is 1,482 fewer than in December but 236 more than in January of 2023.
The price of homes in the state actually went down since December. The $265,500 median price is $5,500 less expensive than in December.
However, it is up $15,000 from January 2023.
