Manitowoc’s Bellin Health clinic on Custer Street has expanded.
The healthcare group held a ribbon cutting yesterday evening (February 22nd) with practitioners who have been working at the clinic since it first opened and new doctors who will be moving in.
Family Medicine Dr. Micah Hoffman says there is a lot more room for patients after expanding their lab room for quicker blood testing and adding more offices for mental health experts, which have been moved farther back so it’s more private for patients.
“I think that’s a huge benefit,” he explained. “People, when they feel secure, they are more open to their issues, and that’s really what the mental health providers are for.”
There is also another place for specialty doctors to do more minor surgeries, and employees also benefit by getting a bigger break room.
Hoffman says the Bellin clinic is seeing more patients, and it should be easier and more efficient for patients to be in and out.
He also says Bellin is continuing to try and bring some more specific care to the Manitowoc area and is always accepting new patients.
“We’re not really going anywhere,” he exclaimed. “So, if you want to see the same physician, the same provider, every time you come in, that’s one of the things we really pride ourselves on here because we try to keep the schedules open enough that if you need to see your doctor you can.”
Visitors and doctors also got the chance to meet with a familiar face in Green Bay Packers player Evan Smith, who hosts the On the Line Podcast with Ryan Brahm and is Manitowoc Lincoln’s new head football coach.
The clinic is open from 8:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
