Despite the media conference with many local and statewide TV and radio news reporters present, very little new information is known about the disappearance of 3-year-old Elijah Vue.
Seehafer News was at Two Rivers City Hall at 8:00 Wednesday evening for the conference, which ended rather abruptly.
Audio PlayerThat was Two Rivers Police Chief Ben Meinert, who read a prepared statement that reiterated the previously released facts of the case, including that Elijah was last seen at around 8:00 Tuesday morning.
An unnamed representative of the FBI was standing next to Chief Meinert, as was Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig, as he revealed that every tip is being followed and that the Two Rivers Police Department has received help from many different sources.
He stated, “Since the moment Elijah was reported missing, our law enforcement from local, state, and federal agencies, along with dedicated volunteers and community members, have been working tirelessly around the clock to search every inch of our city and beyond into the county.”

As tends to be the case when little information is shared, the public has been speculating online about what has happened, with many rumors and theories popping up on social media.
In fact, several Facebook pages have been created in the nearly (over) 48 hours since Elijah went missing, where people throw out all sorts of theories.
Chief Meinert briefly addressed this issue.
“Additionally, I want to remind everyone to please refrain from spreading rumors and false information. This can hinder our search efforts for Elijah,” Chief Meinert said. “All official facts and information regarding this search will come from us at the Two Rivers Police Department.”
He then asked all residents and business owners in the city to check any security camera footage they may have as investigators continue to search for the missing 3-year-old.
