The Brown County teenager known as the largest dealer of Fentanyl in Brown County schools was in court Monday.
According to WBAY TV, 16-year-old Maylia Sotelo was expected to enter a new plea, but the negotiations are instead going to continue.
A deal that was on the table would have put the teen in prison for ten years, which her lawyer called an outrageous offer.
Sotelo was initially arrested on a charge of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide by the Delivery of Drugs, but four drug charges were added in December.
She is accused of selling an 18-year-old De Pere man drugs that ended up taking his life in 2022.
Despite being 15 at the time, Sotelo was charged as an adult.
She is due back in court on March 18th for a status hearing.
