The Hungry for History program for this year, hosted by the Manitowoc County Historical Society, will delve into the “Lost Treasures of Manitowoc County.”
This event, merging education with a meal, is scheduled for Thursday, February 29th, at 11:00 a.m. and will take place at Branch Station, located at 8112 Village Drive in Whitelaw.
The session will explore the historical landmarks of the county that have disappeared over time, including the Opera House, Carnegie Library, the former Post Office in Manitowoc, Turner Hall, the James E. Hamilton home in Two Rivers, Valders’ old train depot, and the lime kilns in Grimms.
Attendees will be taken on a visual expedition across eleven communities, retracing the footprints of the past.
