With the girls’ regular season nearly in the books, it’s the boys’ turn to take the spotlight.
Manitowoc Lincoln will try to get back above .500 as they travel to Sheboygan South, while in the Big East North, the battle for the crown could get interesting tonight (February 16th).
There are four teams in striking distance, including Manitowoc Lutheran, which currently sits in 4th place at 7-4. They are at St. Mary Catholic tonight, where the Zephyrs are 9-2 in conference and are tied for the top spot with Howards Grove. The Tigers will be playing host to Mishicot, who is looking to play the spoiler role. Reedsville is also looking to keep pace, as they sit at 8-3 in the Big East North and will be hosting Hilbert tonight.
Elsewhere, Roncalli has three games left as they push to get back above .500. They will be hosting a Chilton squad looking to end a four-game losing streak in a game that will be aired on 107.9 FM WOMT and at WOMTRadio.com.
Two Rivers is in the same boat as the Tigers, and they will try to get back on track against an invading New Holstein squad.
Valders will be in Sheboygan Falls looking to end a two-game skid, and in the EWC, it will be a battle of powerhouses. Kiel is hosting Brillion as the Raiders defend a perfect season, and the Lions look to avenge their only conference loss.
Also on tap for tonight, Kohler is at Sheboygan Lutheran, Cedar Grove-Belgium is on the road for Oostburg, Random Lake is hosting Ozaukee, Plymouth is traveling to Berlin, and Sheboygan North is at Bay Port.
Other games of area interest include Kewaunee at Southern Doot, Denmark invading Oconto Falls, Fox Valley Lutheran hosting Little Chute, Luxemburg-Casco on the road for Waupaca, Wrightstown in Clintonville, Notre Dame hosting Ashwaubenon, De Pere at Pulaski, West De Pere at Green Bay West, Green Bay Southwest making the short trip to Green Bay Preble, Green Bay East hosting Xavier, Green Bay NEW Lutheran hosting Sevastopol, Appleton West at Hortonville, Appleton North traveling across town to take on Appleton East, and Sturgeon Bay invading Gibraltar.
There is also one girls’ game in the area tonight as Ashwaubenon invades Notre Dame.
