
A convicted sex offender is set to be released from prison and will be residing in Manitowoc.
67-year-old Jay N. Poler Sr. was previously convicted of Child Enticement in Wisconsin and 1st Degree Sodomy in New York, with the victims being female adolescent acquaintances.
He is set to be released from prison on Monday (February 19th) and will be residing in the 1100 block of South 19th Street in Manitowoc.
Poler is required to register in the sex offender registration program and will be wearing a GPS tracker for life.
He has served his sentence as imposed by the courts and is not wanted at this time. Any harassment or intimidation of Poler will not be tolerated.
The Manitowoc Police Department releases sex offender residency notices not to instill fear but rather to ensure the community is as informed as possible.
